Two arrested after police find guns, large amount of drugs
Police have arrested two people following a weeks-long investigation into alleged heroin dealing in Columbia.
Ty’ihonn Riley has been charged with drug trafficking, unlawful possession of a gun, and receiving stolen property. Haley Boss has been charged with drug trafficking.
Detectives began their investigation in March, focusing surveillance efforts on Riley. They claim they saw Riley selling heroin in public parking lots numerous times throughout April and May.
On June 8, during another surveillance operation, detectives reported seeing Riley and Boss leave a home on Glenstone Drive repeatedly, with Riley apparently meeting others in various parking lots around the city. They arrested Riley and Boss in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on Conley Road, and reported finding 11 grams of heroin and some cash in Riley’s vehicle.
A search at the home on Glenstone turned up 1.74 pounds of cocaine, 54 grams of heroin, one pound of marijuana, scales and baggies, two rifles, and three pistols, one of which had been reported stolen.
