At least eight units responded around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in the southbound lanes about seven miles from the Missouri River Bridge.

Troopers at the scene told ABC 17 News there were no passengers in the car. They believe 24-year-old Anna Martin of Springfield went off the road, corrected and started to skid. She ran off the road and hit a guard rail, landing upright.

An ambulance took Martin to University Hospital with serious injuries.
