More than 80 employees hired at new CertainTeed distribution center in Jonesburg

Governor Nixon spoke in Jonesburg Tuesday morning for the ribbon cutting ceremony for CertainTeed Roofing’s new manufacturing and distribution center.

The ceremony took place at 11:30 a.m. and commemorated the completion of the company’s new facility.

According to Amy Stevens, public relations manager for CertainTeed, the roofing plant already has 88 new employees working full time. Stevens says they are still hiring, and they are expected to hire over a dozen more employees from the area this summer to reach its 100-job creation projection.
