Unclear if foul play involved in overnight trailer fire

The Callaway County sheriff’s department is now working with the state fire marshal to find out if foul play is involved, after a mobile home burns to the ground west of Fulton.

ABC 17 News has confirmed the fire was reported overnight Sunday off County Road 305 near Highway H.

The trailer is a rental. No one is currently living there, but new tenants were preparing to move in shortly. The property owner lives nearby and has been contacted about the damage.

An exact cause remains unknown, but the fire marshal’s office is expected to visit the site sometime over the next few days.
