No injuries after crews respond to possible house fire in Boone County
Multiple units from the Boone County Fire Protection District responded to the 4400 block of Santa Barbara Drive for reports of a possible house fire just after 10 p.m. Saturday.
Asst. Chief Gale Blomenkamp said residents were burning trash behind their home. The house was not on fire.
He said several neighbors saw the smoke and called 911.
No one was hurt.
Blomenkamp said the wet weather has made it more safe to burn outside.
