Holts Summit man arrested after rollover crash

A Holts Summit man was arrested Wednesday following a rollover crash in the area of Route F and Highway 54.

The crash happened shortly after 1:30 p.m.; two vehicles were involved, both heavily damaged. One of the drivers was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

When police got there, they learned the driver of the vehicle had run away into a wooded area. Officers identified the driver as Thomas Bishop, 26, who was due in Callaway County Court that same day.

About two hours later, someone called police to report a man matching Bishop’s description in the area of the crash. Upon returning to the scene, police arrested Bishop for leaving the scene of a crash, careless driving, and driving while suspended.
