Warm weekend, possible t-storms

It will feel more like summer Saturday as high temperatures climb into the mid 80s north of I-70 and into the upper 80s near the Lake of the Ozarks. It will be breezy with west to southwesterly winds up to 18 mph in the afternoon. Most areas will stay dry under mostly sunny skies but after 4 PM there is a chance of a spot t-storm from HWY 24 north. A few storms will develop farther south overnight possibly to near I-70.

We will have a better chance of t-storms Sunday. Temperatures will reach into the upper 70s to near 80 with partly sunny skies for Mother’s Day. Storm could develop from early afternoon near Truman Reservoir, increasing to the east-northeast through the afternoon and evening. From late afternoon through Sunday evening, thunderstorms could produce heavy downpours at times as they lift north of I-70. At this time severe storms are not expected but a few stronger storms are possible, especially 5-8 PM near and north of I-70.
