Two more arrested for having drugs in Mexico
Two more people have been arrested in Mexico on suspicion of having drugs, including methamphetamine and marijuana. The arrests happened on the same day two men were arrested for also having meth and marijuana, as well as drug-related paraphernalia.
Thursday evening, investigators with the East Central Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a location on North Clark Street. In addition to finding the drugs and paraphernalia, authorities arrested Brandon Baldwin from Centralia and Shelby Martin from Mexico on suspicion of distributing a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Baldwin and Martin were also arrested on Boone County warrants for distribution of a controlled substance.
The Mexico Public Safety Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Audrain County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the operation.
The arrests also came on the same day as a major drug suspect round-up in Centralia, about 15 miles west of Mexico. In that case, ten people were arrested on suspicion of various drug-related activities.
