Identity of victim in Camden County homicide confirmed

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man found dead on a vacation property in Macks Creek in April. Using dental records, the medical examiner’s office identified Gregory Webb as the victim. Webb was a caretaker at the property, and was reported missing by the property owner.

Deputies have deemed Webb’s death a homicide, but have not said how he died or who may have been responsible. No suspects have been named or identified in the case.

Investigators are looking for several items taken from the crime scene at the time of Webb’s death, including a John Deere lawn tractor and a trailer similar to the one pictured at left. Tools, sporting goods, and electronic devices have also been reported missing.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Camden County Sheriff’s Office at (573) 364-2243, or e-mail anonymously to sheriff@camdenmo.org. E-mailing is also available through the sheriff’s office website, which you can find here.
