Mother in custody after deputies find drugs in home with child
A mother was put in the Maries County jail after deputies found drugs and a minor child in her home.
The Maries County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group searched the home on Maries County Road 215 Saturday. During the search, they found meth, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
They also found multiple drug-related items throughout the home, including in the child’s bedroom.
Deputies took the child who was later turned over to a family member.
Melissa Martin-Hollis is facing multiple charges, including felony and misdemeanor drug possession, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia.
