Storms Possible Sunday night
The weekend is looking fantastic with light east/southeast winds for Saturday with plenty of sun. Sunday will bring an increase in clouds during the day as a storm system approaches. Winds will be increasing during the day and gusting from 25-30 mph. Rain and thunderstorms look to move in late Sunday night. Some storms in western Chariton and western Saline could be strong containing large hail where there is a marginal (low) risk. The timing looks to be from 8PM-11PM. Rain and spotty thunderstorms look to continue overnight through early Monday, while storms will weaken significantly by the time these reach US 63 from loss of daytime heating. Rain will be possible for next Monday morning, while strong storms won’t be likely at this time. Tuesday and Wednesday of next week we are watching the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms.
