Man arrested after reported burglary in west Columbia

Police arrested a Columbia man Tuesday morning after a reported burglary in west Columbia.

It happened just after 1:00 Tuesday morning in the 2400 block of West Broadway.

Police said the victim was sleeping on the couch and heard someone atthe door. They said a short time later, the victim realized someone was standingbehind the couch.

Officers arrived to find 31-year-old Joseph Muliastanding behind the couch.

Police said Mulia had been drinking and lived inthe same apartment complex.

Mulia was arrested on suspicion trespassing with a bond of $500.00.

Mulia was not listed as being in the Boone County Jail Tuesday morning.
