Demolition begins at Quintons, Britches in downtown Columbia
Demolition work has started at the site where Quinton’s Bar and Deli and Britches clothing store once opened for business in downtown Columbia.
A city spokesperson told ABC 17 News developer Fields Holdings picked up its demolition permit Monday. The developer wants to build a new ten-story residential and retail building on the lot. Demolition was set to begin in March, but was delayed.
In March, the Columbia city council approved sidewalk closures for the project along Locust, 9th and 10th streets. The closures were approved from April 1 to August 20, 2017.
