Car crashes after driver falls asleep

Early Sunday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol received a call that a car drove off the side of the Highway 63 going northbound.

Landon Anderson, 21, was driving when he fell asleep at the wheel, causing it to drive off the right side of the road. The vehicle hit numerous objects before it came to a stop.

Anderson was wearing his seat belt, but the three other passengers were not. Two 18-year-old females had to be transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Hospital officials said as of Sunday evening they had been treated and released.
