Boone County republicans caucusing in Columbia

The Boone County Republican Caucus is being held at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Attendees must have a photo I.D.

It is held every four years and is open to all registered republican voters in Boone County.

The meeting will select individual delegates to the Missouri Republican State Convention and the Republican 4thCongressional District Convention, as well as review and consider amendments to the state party platform. The Boone County Republican Central Committee is charged with scheduling and conducting the caucus.

“This caucus is the opportunity for any Boone County Republican to be a part of the individual delegate selection process for the national Republican convention in Cleveland this July, as well as give their ideas about the state party platform,” said Mike Zweifel, chair of the Boone County Republican Central Committee.

The Boone County Republican Central Committee is composed of over 30 citizens elected or appointed by Republican voters in the wards and townships of Boone County. The Committee is charged with efforts to elect Republicans, including “get out the vote” drives, fundraising, event planning, consultation and more.
