In many professions, forcing someone to retire would be considered age discrimination. But, Article 5, Section 26 of the Missouri Constitution, makes it clear that state judges must retire at the age of 70. It also specifies that ths requirement is not discrimination.

That is forcing the end of a 14 year run for 13 th Judicial Circuit Judge Gary Oxenhandler.
