Morning rain, windy afternoon Wednesday
A cold front will move through Mid-Missouri Tuesday night and out of the area by mid-morning Wednesday. A line of showers and t-storms will move into our far western counties 1-2 AM, heading east and out of the area by 10 AM Wednesday. Rainfall amounts of a tenth to quarter of an inch are likely with up to four tenths possible.
Northwesterly winds will increase behind the front through the morning with sustained winds of 20-25 mph likely in the afternoon, gusting as high as 35 mph. Winds will start to subside as we head into the evening and will drop below 10 mph overnight.
However, a secondary cold front will move through Wednesday night and northwesterly winds will pick up again on Thursday gusting as high as 35 mph with partly sunny skies.
