Child porn suspect arraigned in Boone County

Two men have been charged with child pornography in Boone County after a long Highway Patrol investigation.

Brenner Dawson was arraigned in Boone County Court on Monday. A second man charged in the Highway Patrol’s investigation, Michael Houston, is out of jail after posting bond.

The court documents obtained by ABC 17 detail the content found on both Dawson’s and Houston’s computers. Videos and pictures show children, as young as 8, engaging in sex acts.

The Highway Patrol digital forensics unit conducted the investigation. Authorities logged onto a file-sharing website looking for offenders sharing child pornography.

Investigators were able to download a video from Dawson’s IP address of a girl, who appears to be under the age of 10, engaging in oral sex.

The Highway Patrol also found a hard drive in Dawson’s home with his child pornography collection stored on it.

Investigators also found Michael Houston sharing and possessing what appears to be child pornography. Documents show Houston had at least three video files on his tablet, one of which, the female child was restrained.

Houston and Dawson have been charged with one count of promoting child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography.

Brenner Dawson will be in court again on April 12. It’s unclear on when Michael Houston will make his next court appearance.
