School bus rolls into pole, leaving minor damage

ABC 17 News confirmed no one was hurt, after a school bus hit a utility pole on Monday near the connector in east Columbia.

District officials told ABC 17 News the bus rolled down an embankment behind Home Depot off Clark Lane around 9:30 a.m.

The side street was closed for about an hour while city crews made sure the power line was not live or potentially dangerous. There was minor damage to the bus.

Students were not on board because there no classes on Monday for the Easter holiday.
