*Daryl Dudley announced on March 22, he was suspending his campaign due to “recent distractions.”
Although he wasn’t specific as to what those distractions were, the announcement came shortly after his incumbent opponent, Ian Thomas, filed a formal complaint with the Missouri Ethics Commission regarding Dudley’s failure to report contributions in a timely manner. The same news release announcing the suspension of his campaign also stated Dudley intended to return the balance of unused from at least two large donations to the contributors.
ABC 17 News called Dudley on Monday night to check on the status or timeline of that refund but had to leave a voicemail. As of this report, our call has not been returned.
