Two-year drug investigation sends 11 to jail in Randolph County

Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols confirmed 11 people were arrested Friday throughout the county for drug-related charges.

Nichols said the warrant round up was part of a two-year investigation. The sheriff’s department, Moberly Police Department, North Missouri Drug Task Force and the Missouri State Highway Patrol all assisted in the investigation and arrests.

Authorities said all together they found and seized $2,800, 1 pound of marijuana, methamphetamine and prescription pills.

According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, the following people were arrested Friday:

-Jennifer M. Ayer on a class B felony charge of distributing a controlled substance. Bond $45,000.00 cash only.

-Denise D. Bowen on a class B felony charge of distributing a controlled substance. Bond $100,000.00 cash only.

-Matthew Floyd Gilbert Bruce on a class B felony charge of distributing a controlled substance. Bond $100,000.00 cash only.

-Shawn M. Burris on a class B felony charge of distributing a controlled substance. Bond $100,000.00 cash only.

-Duwand Collins on a class B felony charge of distributing a controlled substance. Bond $100,000.00 cash only.

-George Alvin Fisk on a class B felony charge of distributing a controlled substance. Bond $100,000.00 cash only.

-John P. Rhodes on two class B felony charges of distributing a controlled substance. Bond $45,000.00 cash only.

-Corey Douglas Staiger on a class C felony charge of distributing not more than 5 grams of Marijuana. Bond $45,000.00 cash only.

-Jordan W. Taylor on a class B felony charge of distribute/deliver/manufacture/produce a controlled substance. Bond $100,000.00 cash only.

-Yolonda Evtte Woods on a class B felony charge of distribute a controlled substance. Bond $45,000.00 cash only.

Nichols said the 11th person was arrested later Friday night. He also said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.

The investigation includes Adair, Chariton, Macon, Putnam and Schuyler counties.
