Firefighters put out shed fire in central Columbia

The Columbia Fire Department was called to 800 block of N. Seventh Street around 6:15 Saturday evening for reports of a house fire.

Firefighters were called to the scene around 6:15 Saturday evening with a least 10 first responders.

Battalion Chief Stephen Potter said crews spotted smoke coming from a shed behind the home when they arrived. Firefighters were quickly able to put out the flames.

Potter said the fire is under investigation and a cause has not yet been determined.

No one was hurt.
