Cold Front Will Bring A Chilly and Damp Easter Sunday
After a first shortwave of low pressure moved through Missouri on Saturday, a secondary and slightly more robust system will move through the region on Sunday, making for a wet day for outdoor Easter festivities. Showers will begin in our far western counties, extending from Chariton to Benton counties, at about 7AM and gradually spread to areas along the HWY 63 corridor by about 9AM. With temperatures cooling down tonight, there is a slight chance for some of the showers to become mixed with flurries for our far northwestern counties before 10AM with no snow accumulation expected.
As the front continues to push off to the southeast, showers will begin tapering off from west to east as early as 1pm, leaving us dry by about 5pm Sunday evening.
As far as rainfall amounts go, accumulations will be light, with only 0.3″ to 0.6″ expected.
