A Vermont man has been charged in a sexual assault case involving a 6-year-old child at Fort Leonard Wood.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas City announced the federal charge against Paul Kickery, Sr. on Thursday. According to court documents, the victim’s father contacted police in Brattleboro, Vermont, where Kickery now lives. At the time, both Kickery and the victim lived at Fort Leonard Wood. The victim told her family about the alleged abuse about a year after it happened.
