Residents in Audrain County concerned about dangerous intersection

Residents in Audrain County are concerned tonight after a fatal crash that happened yesterday near US 54 and Highway 19 South.

Several of concerned drivers and residents who live or drive that highway believe that more should be done to prevent future accidents.

ABC 17 went down to that intersection and talked with a driver who frequently drives along that road and believes that “more flashing lights should be placed, at the road and before the road.”

During severe weather, night hours, and foggy mornings residents and drivers notice that is when drivers are either not seeing the signs or it simply becomes to late to stop.

This would be the fourth fatal crash for Mid Missouri and twelfth for the state of Missouri, according to Missouri Highway Patrol.
