Law enforcement hold active shooter training at Westminster

State and local law enforcement agencies will hold active shooter training at Westminster College Tuesday morning.

A group of Westminster students took part in the drill, along with an actor who played play the part of “the shooter.” Student “victims” were also carried around on stretchers.

Westminster officials told ABC 17 News they wanted the training to be as realistic as possible. All students at the college were told beforehand what they would see during the training and what to do in event of a real emergency.

Agencies participating included the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton Police Department, Fulton Fire Department, Callaway County Emergency Management, and Callaway Ambulance District.
