Chilly weather moves in this week

The upper level winds will shift to the northwest sending colder air in from Canada from Thursday through Sunday giving us near to below average temperatures through the weekend and a chance of light rain Saturday.

The average high temperature in mid-March is 55-57 degrees with nights typically dropping into the middle 30s. Thursday and Friday will be near normal but by the weekend the last surge of colder air moves in keeping temperatures in the 40s much of the day Saturday and dropping to the freezing mark Saturday night.

Spring officially begins Saturday at 11:30 PM. As usual in the spring, temperatures tend to go up and down quickly which will be the case again next week. After a chilly weekend, temperatures will climb into the 60s to near 70 by next Tuesday with possible stormy weather for the middle of next week.
