An electrical short likely caused a destructive fire at a home in Camden County on Saturday.

The fire started shortly before noon at a home on Apple Blossom Lane, near Highway 5. When firefighters arrived, they found fire burning through the roof of the garage. Crews got the fire under control in around 45 minutes.

The fire caused extensive damage to the garage and destroyed a vintage car in the process of being restored. The fire also caused major heat and smoke damage to the main portion of the home.

Investigators said the fire was an accident, likely caused by an electrical short in the attic over the garage. No one was hurt in the fire.
