A Cool Down is In Sight: Below Average Temperatures Predicted For Next Weekend

Twelve out of the thirteen days in March have reached above average temperatures. In fact, the average high temperature so far comes out to be a balmy 68 degrees; a temperature that is 15 degrees above the typical temperature of 53 degrees for this time of year.

A change in the weather pattern is anticipated to occur by mid week in the form of a cold front, which will drop temperatures to near average by Thursday. However, the Climate Prediction Center’s outlook for March 19th through the 23rd depicts that these temperatures will continue to drop to below average levels. Missouri is placed in the category of having greater than a 40% chance of experiencing below normal temperatures. Corresponding with that, models are showing overnight lows dipping into the 30s for next weekend with daytime highs only in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
