Two arrested for shooting at Moser’s in Jefferson City

Two men have been arrested for a shooting that injured three people at the Moser’s grocery store in Jefferson City. The suspects include Dana Day, 26, and Quonterio Davis, 23. Both are from Jefferson City.

Prosecutors have charged Day with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and three counts of assault. Davis has been charged with hindering prosecution of a felony.

The shooting happened on March 5 in the Moser’s parking lot on Missouri Boulevard.

According to court documents, St. Mary’s Hospital contacted the Jefferson City Police Department after three men arrived with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

A victim told a detective that he and Day got into an argument at a restaurant before the shooting. The victim said he was in the Moser’s parking lot talking with “his associates” when he saw a dark colored car coming toward his car and firing a gun toward them.

The victim identified Day as the shooter.

Day and Davis are currently in the Cole County Jail. Day is being held on a $100,000 bond and Davis is being held on a $25,000 bond.
