Man arrested for stolen gun assault
Fulton police say one man was arrested for assaulting someone with a stolen gun. Officers were called to Nichols and Fifth Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday, where they saw Charles McNeal leaving the scene.
The weapon was found a short time later. Investigators later learned it was stolen in 2009 from Boone County.
McNeal is facing possible charges for first-degree assault, armed criminal action and having a stolen gun as a prior felon. He is being held on $64,500 bond.
The victim was not hurt.
