Driver doesn’t set brakes, school bus rolls backwards

ABC 17 confirmed no one was hurt in Jefferson City Wednesday, after a school bus rolled through traffic and hit a light pole.

The driver pulled over around 12:30 p.m. near Miller Street and Broadway. He stopped to reset an alarm at the back of the bus, but forgot to set the emergency brake. It traveled all the way across the street before snapping a utility pole.

No students were on board when it happened, and no one was hurt.
