Charges filed for shooting suspect still on the loose
ABC 17 News confirmed police are currently looking for a suspect who is accused of shooting another man in Sedalia earlier this week.
Officers responded to Washington Avenue Monday night near Smith Cotton High School off Broadway. They believe Carlos Staten shot the victim twice in the arms and once in the stomach.
Charges were just filed against Staten on Tuesday, although he remains at large.
A fourth bullet at the scene also went through an open window, several walls and someone’s shower. Five people were inside those two homes at the time, but no one else there was hurt.
