Severe weather safety in apartment buildings
People who live in apartments may have to consider different safety concerns than those in homes.
We spoke to some tenants in Boone County, who told us they don’t know what the response plan is for their apartment complex, should severe weather arise. Owners of some of those complexes told us there are severe weather plans, like having tenants go to interior hallways.
Safety officials recommend talking to your landlord about any severe weather or emergency plans before a storm or other situation arises.
