MoDot asks drivers to report mid-Missouri potholes

In March MoDot is challenging their road crews to fix every pothole as quickly as it is reported. That is why the agency is asking drivers to call about problem areas as soon as possible.

It expects to spend about $15 million on the issue this month, which is typical in their yearly budget. That means workers could patch as many as 300 potholes in one day statewide.

Potholes are most likely to develop when temperatures are warm during the day, but still cold at night. That is when water gets inside pavement cracks and expands before melting.

If you see any issues, you can contact MoDot any time of day at (888) ASK- MODOT (6636), email comments@modot.mo.gov or use the “Report a Road Concern” form at www.modot.org , which is also available in a mobile format at www.modot.org/roadconcern
