Car struck by bullets during overnight shooting in Columbia

Columbia Police were called to the 2600 block of Quail Drive in northeast Columbia just after midnight Saturday for reports of shots heard.

Officers found several shell casings in front of two homes in the area. Police said a car was struck by bullets, but no injuries were reported.

The department said the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the shots fired incident is asked to call the Columbia Police Department or Crimestoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
