A Windy, Warm Day to End the Weekend
As winds persist out of the south through Saturday night and into Sunday morning, warm air will continue to usher into the region, pushing daytime highs into the mid to upper 60s once again for Sunday.
A weak cold front will sweep southeastward during the day on Sunday. While the atmosphere lacks the moisture needed to produce rain with this front, the passage of it through the middle half of Missouri will be noticeable, as strong winds will precede it. Sustained winds are expected to reach near 22 mph by the early afternoon, with gusts reaching up to 38 mph.
Once the front passes through, winds will shift to the northwest and dye down considerably for Sunday evening.
