Shooting reported in Jefferson City on Elm Street

ABC 17 News has confirmed a shooting was reported Wednesday morning in Jefferson City. Police responded to the 1100 block of E. Elm Street.

JCPD said no one was hurt, but a vehicle was struck in the crossfire.

ABC 17 News talked to neighbors in the area who said they heard gunshots but saw nothing.

Detective Doug Shoemaker said if anyone knows of any information, they should alert authorities immediately.

“If it were me and I lived in the neighborhood, if I had any information I would want to call in because those shots could have strayed, struck a residence, maybe hurt a child, those types of things. So our concern for that is very great,” said Shoemaker.
