Jefferson City School Board to discuss 2016-2017 budget

The Jefferson City School Board is holding a work session Monday afternoon to discuss the preliminary 2016-2017 budget.

ABC 17 News dug into the budget report and there are a number of key statistics including:

– 2015 marked the sixth straight year of kindergarten classes with more than 700 students.
– Jefferson City’s elementary enrollment has grown by more than 600 students since the 2007-2008 school year.
– The Jefferson City School District had nearly 2,000 more students on free and reduced lunch today than 10 years ago.
