Human remains found in Phelps County

Authorities in Phelps County were expected to make an announcement about remains found this month.

The remains are speculated, but not confirmed to be those of Johnathan Shay, who has been missing from St. James since last summer.

The remains were found near Dry Fork Creek.

Shay was last seen in the 10000 block of County Road 3470 in mid-July when he left home with a friend who was found shortly after going missing.

A second news conference is planned for Tuesday.
