Two arrested for stolen gun, identity theft in Callaway Co.

Two people were arrested in Callaway County early Thursday morning after officers stopped a car for a registration violation on County Road 220 near Kingdom City.

Callaway County deputies found a Hipoint .380 pistol in the car that was confirmed stolen from Fulton.

The driver, 33-year-old Stephen Palmer of Holts Summit, was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon and hinder prosecution of a felony.

His passenger, 27-year-old Rebecca Danner of Lake Ozark, gave deputies a fake name and social security number.

Danner had a Cole County arrest warrant for drug possession and was charged with identity theft.

Both Danner and Palmer are in the Callaway County Jail.
