Missouri woman charged with making violent threats on Twitter

A Missouri woman was federally charged Thursday for allegedly making violent threats on Twitter.

Court documents said 38-year-old Safya Yassin of Buffalo apparently had several social media accounts, including multiple Twitter accounts and one Facebook page. She allegedly used a Twitter account to post a threat against two FBI agents.

In August 2015, Yassin reportedly posted the names, addresses, and phone numbers of the agents under the words, “wanted to kill.”

Court records said the threat originated with a Twitter account associated with ISIL.
