Wes Clark dismissed from Mizzou men’s basketball

Junior guard Wes Clark has been dismissed from the Mizzou Men’s Basketball program, according to an announcement from the team on Tuesday. He was kicked off for not meeting academic expectations, according to the program.

The announcement comes an hour before Mizzou is scheduled to play South Carolina.

Clark, who is one of the most experienced players on the team, was averaging more than 9 points per game and averaged more than 26 minutes on the court.

Below is the statement from Mizzou Men’s Basketball

“Wes Clark has failed to meet the academic expectations of the Mizzou Athletics Department and is no longer a member of the men’s basketball program. Due to this issue relating to academics, Mizzou Athletics will have no further comment.”
