Another fast moving area of low pressure will move in from the northwest, bringing rain and snow to Mid-Missouri through Tuesday morning. Rain will begin close to 2 AM near HWY 65, spreading east through daybreak.
Temperatures will stay just above freezing in most of Mid-Missouri and the roads for the morning commute will be wet. However, areas north of I-70 and east of HWY 63 will hover near freezing until 7 AM which could lead to slick roads due to slushy snow or a glaze of ice. Areas north of I-70 and west of HWY 63 could see periods of wet snow with slushy, minor accumulation up to 1/2″ by daybreak Tuesday.
