Three people injured in Moniteau County crash

Snow covered roads caused a two-car crash in Tipton around 9:20 Sunday morning that sent three people to the hospital, including a child.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Highway 50 near Claas Crossing Road.

According to the crash report, Marcia Gardner, 36, was driving eastbound on Highway 50 when she lost control of her car on the snow covered roadway causing her to slide into the westbound lane.

Kelly Petree-Hees, 38, was driving westbound when Gardner’s car slide into the lane and caused a collision.

Petree-Hees was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Gardner and her 12-year-old daughter were also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
