Truck and dog stolen in McDonalds parking lot

Early Thursday morning after dropping off his wife at work, David Vaughn went to the McDonalds off of Clark Lane to get something to eat. He decided to leave his engine running for fear that his dog, a miniature pinscher, would get cold.

Minutes later, a man came into tell him that he saw his car being driven off. Since then the Columbia Police have been trying to figure out who the thief was and return the dog safely back to the couple.

The dog’s name is Chico, nine years old, and dark brown with a light brown chest.

Vaughn’s car is a 2000 white Ford truck and has VON1 as the license plate.

The couple has been frantically searching for the dog and reaching out all over social media to see if anyone has any answers.

Vaugh emotionally said, “I don’t care about the truck, I just want my dog back.”

If anyone has any information please contact the Columbia Police Department at (573) 874-7404
