Police investigate gunshots near Columbia Mall
Columbia police responded to shots fired near the Columbia Mall around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
Police on scene told ABC 17 News officers found 3-4 shell casings.
Officers were in the southwest corner of the mall parking lot near Sears investigating for about an hour.
At least two witnesses heard the sound of gunshots in the mall area and called from the McDonald’s on Stadium Boulevard and Worley Street. Witnesses told police they saw a car speed away from the area.
Officers did not find any property damage.
Police said they did not believe anyone was hurt.
