Snow that fell across Mid-Missouri Wednesday afternoon caused dozens of crashes on state highways.

Highway Patrol Troop F had more than 40 calls for service since the snow started late morning.

32 crashes were responded to, including 8 injuries. No deaths were reported.

In Boone County, Joint Communications reported 92 emergency calls and about 32 crashes between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

ABC 17 confirmed a multi-car crash on Highway 94 near Wainwright at 1:30 p.m. One person received minor injuries in that crash.

Troopers also expect the I-70 outer road, Old Highway 40, to be closed most of the night Wednesday about 20 minutes east of Columbia, after a semi-truck carrying steel overturned late in the afternoon.
