Wednesday’s Snow Update

Forecast models are bringing snow in quicker for Wednesday with flurries starting as early as late morning. A narrow band of light snow will move in from the northwest and slide southeast through the afternoon Wednesday as temperatures stay below the freezing mark. This will start 10- 11 AM near HWY 36 as flurries and become more steady as it moves southeast.

Light snow will continue mainly along and east of HWY 63 from 2 PM to 7 PM with flurries farther west. The band of snow will move east and out of our area by 8 PM Wednesday.

Snow accumulation of up to a half inch is expected near Columbia and Jefferson City with less than a half in farther west. An inch of snow or just over an inch is expected east of HWY 63 which could lead to slick roads by the evening commute.
