Two people injured in Jefferson City crash

Two people were injured in a crash in Jefferson City Monday afternoon.

It happened just after 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 50 and Madison Street. Police say four cars were involved. The department says one car was driving westbound on Highway 50 entering the intersection and collided with a car driving southbound on Madison Street. The first car then crossed over into the eastbound lanes and was struck by two other cars.

Police say two people suffered minor injuries and everyone involved was wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
